About Spear Independent Living
A Place to Rebuild, Restore, and Move Forward
Spear Independent Living was created to provide safe, stable housing for adults who are working toward independence and long-term stability. Located in Dolton, Illinois, our program offers a structured and supportive living environment for individuals transitioning from challenging life circumstances.
We serve adults who may be reentering the community after incarceration, leaving shelters or hospitals, or simply seeking a safer and more structured living environment. Our goal is to provide a place where residents can focus on rebuilding their lives while living in a respectful and supportive community.
At Spear Independent Living, we believe that stable housing is one of the most important foundations for personal growth, recovery, and independence.
Our Mission
Our mission is to create a safe, structured, and compassionate living environment where individuals can rebuild their lives, strengthen independence, and access the resources needed to achieve long-term stability.
We are committed to treating every resident with dignity, respect, and fairness while maintaining clear expectations that promote accountability and personal growth.
Our Approach
Spear Independent Living operates as a non-medical independent living program. Residents live independently while benefiting from a structured environment that encourages responsibility, routine, and community support.
Our program focuses on three key principles:
Stability
Providing clean, safe, and structured housing where residents can feel secure.
Accountability
Maintaining clear house rules, expectations, and regular check-ins to help residents stay on track with their goals.
Support
Connecting residents with community resources such as healthcare services, employment opportunities, legal support, and social services.
This balanced approach helps residents build confidence and move toward a more independent future.
